Energy management ISO 50001

Energy management according to ISO 50001

The ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is a set of standards for introducing and operating an energy management system. It provides the framework and parameters for the energy management system.

The following standards must also be observed:

  • ISO 50003 specifies the requirements for companies that audit and certify energy management systems.
  • ISO 50006 defines the principles and requirements for energy performance indicators (EnPI).
  • ISO 50015 defines the principles and requirements for measurements of energy-related power.

With the amendment of ISO 50001 in October 2018, the necessity of key figures was made mandatory. This also includes the limits of validity (SEU).

Some already certified companies have to introduce these key figures and limits for an upcoming re-certification. We support you in this.

Energie Monitoring System

Without measuring, you do not know where energy saving measures are really economical. An energy monitoring system helps to make the energy consumption visible.

If you want to introduce energy management according to ISO 50001, a monitoring system helps to meet the requirements.

If you have several locations, you can centrally monitor all locations and the associated consumption.

An energy monitoring system includes energy management software as well as sensors and meters with the associated infrastructure.

The software makes the consumption visible, shows the development of the key figures and monitors the consumers with alarm functions.

In addition, energy management software shows potential savings.
